Getting to to the Chicago Botanic Garden

The Chicago Botanic Garden is located at 1000 Lake Cook Road in Glencoe, IL. It is approximately 10 miles north of the Northwestern University Evanston campus. There are a variety of ways to travel between the two locations.

By Bus to Chicago Botanic Garden

Coming from Northwestern, the closest stop on the PACE 213  is the Davis St. Station in downtown Evanston.  Take the 213 bus to the Chicago Botanic Garden and walk to the Science Center (~10–15 minute walk from the stop). Travel time on the bus (not including walking) for this route is typically between 35-40 minutes. Learn more about fare and route information.

By Train to Chicago Botanic Garden

Coming from Northwestern, the closest stop for the Union Pacific North Metra train is the Davis St. Station. You can get off at either Glencoe or Braeside stops. If you get off at Braeside, head west on Lake Cook Road until you get to the Garden's main entrance. It is ~1 mile walk to the Garden entrance on Lake Cook Road. Then it is ~10–15 minute walk to the Science Center from the Garden entrance. If you get off at the Glencoe stop, head north on Green Bay Rd, then turn left on Dundee. Follow Dundee to the service entrance of the Garden at the light past Forest Way Rd. Head north into the Garden and it is about a 10 minute walk to the Science Center. Travel time on the train (not including walking) for this route is typically about 20 minutes. Learn more about fares and schedules.

By Bike to Chicago Botanic Garden
