Biography
Major advisor: Dr. Natalie Love
Research topic: Can lawn alternatives mitigate the urban heat island effect in Chicago, IL?
Research interests: urban ecology, climate change, people-plant interactions
Current research: my current research explores how different herbaceous communities affect air temperatures in urban areas. By observing human-perceived climate in plots with low plant diversity vs. high plant diversity, we hope to inform management decisions and shift public opinions on urban greenspaces.
